The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on when it encounters one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots of this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by silver elements and mirror plating. www.robotvacuummops.com/ of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
